2014 XXL Freshman Predictions

1. Chance The Rapper - My number one question mark for the 2013 XXL Class. Chance "The Rapper" Bennett should have been included on the cover. Once 'Acid Rap' drops at the end of the month expect everyone to be onto the hottest thing in the blogs.

2. Robb Bank$ - The Raider Klan will finally hit the point of overcoming the A$AP shadow once Robb drops 'YOTS.' Last year's mixtape 'Calendars' from Robb was one of the most underrated mixtapes put out. Expect big things from Robb this year.

3. IamSu! - SUZY! Slowly and surely creating a buzz with fans of lyrics and fans of party music IamSu! has created a nation wide sound. If you haven't already check out his tape '$uzy 6 $peed.'

4. Rapsody - With the "Female" pick of the year we are going to go with the lyrical Rapsody. Backed by big names like Big K.R.I.T. and 9th Wonder, Rapsody could have seen the cover this year, but didn't have that one special project to put her over the top.

5. Tayyib Ali - Philly artsist Tayyib Ali brought his A game on his latest mixtape 'Keystone State of Mind II' which was out in late February. The youngster made some buzz with that release and now we are hoping he can keep up the noise throughout the year.

6. Gilbere Forte - For the past year Gilbere Forte has been extremely quiet, but we know he has something big in stores for the 2013 year. Expect Forte to be in headlines this year.

7. Shawn Chrystopher - Back in 2011 we had Shawn Chrys way up on boards to make the XXL Freshman cover. Now after a couple mixtapes Shawn has come to terms of being under the wing of famous producer Timbaland. We are ready for his next project here at FreeHRS to be something big.

8. Vince Staples - Will an Odd Future affiliate finally make the XXL Freshman cover? After passing on Tyler, Earl, and Domo, XXL needs to rebrand with someone from OFWG. Our pick is Vince Staples who is like a cousin to the wild group.

9. Spenzo - The teenager from Chicago is making some wavy news as of late. The kid has a major buzz behind in the streets and in the blogs. Be ready for his new project to come out soon.

10. Casey Veggies - If you haven't already been reading up on the XXL freshman bio pages, half of the artists said Casey Veggies should be here, and ScHoolboy Q even offered up his spot for him. Now that should turn some heads over there at XXL. Hopefully young Veggies doesn't become apart of the XXL "Missed Class."
